The Contemporary British Portrait Painters collective return to Cass Arts Islington with a body of work celebrating the human proximity, interaction and face to face examinations which are the very oxygen of portraiture. Martyn’s painting of Sir Lenny Henry is one many of the featured pieces that were originally selected for the BP Award at the National Portrait Gallery last year but could not be exhibited in the flesh at the time, because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
